FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can we use the playing field and play equipment during our booking?

Yes, but you do not have exclusive use unless you hire the field from the parish council, so other people may be using it at the same time. 

Can we have a bouncy castle on the playing field or in the hall?

There is room for a small bouncy castle in the main hall. If you want to have one on the playing field you need to hire the field from the parish council at a cost of £50 by emailing clerk@playfordparish.gov.uk. You also need to obtain insurance. If hiring from a company they can usually provide it. 

Can we serve alcohol during our booking?

You may serve alcohol during your booking but you are not permitted to sell alcohol without obtaining a temporary event licence from the local authority (East Suffolk District Council). Email licencing@eastsuffolk.gov.uk Tel 01394 444802

Is there wifi at the hall?

There is free wifi in the hall. The password is displayed on the notice board in the entrance hall. 

Can we have music during our booking?

The hall is licenced for music subject to time restrictions. These are Monday to Friday until 11.30pm. Saturday until 11.15 and Sunday until 10.30. More information is contained in the Conditions of Hire. 

Is there any audio visual equipment at the hall?

Cost to hire

Boom box and microphone connected by Bluetooth cable or USB stick - £25

Touch Screen TV for business meetings -  £25

Projector, dropdown screen and speakers -  £25.

There is an additional damage deposit of £100 to hire any AV equipment
